News Round up?

Hello all,

 

Does anyone know where i can get like a 10 minute news round up video on the net?

 

one of the heads of year has asked me about it hes wanting to get the kids into watching the news and wants to show some sort of weekly news and sport round up in morning form once a week possibly twice a week,

 

i know you can watch the previous days bbc news at 1, 6 and 10 on Iplayer but wondered if there was anything different out there or if anyone does something similar.

Newsround?. We play this a couple of times a week in assembly.

 

Also got individual reports we use to fit in with assembly topic and sports bulletin

I was just about to mention Sky News. The main news channel repeats itself every 15min through out the day!

I use newsround all the time, the kids love it!! Add on a discussion about how these events affect them and you've got a lot of things covered, SEAL, PSHE, etc.

cheers guys, i will show him the sky news one and see what he thinks, i think that will be more appropriate than news round especially for the older kids
