[ghost] Ghost HP 6730s Laptop

Is anybody having problems using ghost with these laptops when we use the ghost console it fails and boots back into windows and if we try to boot into ghost from usb it eitheir hangs or reports an error message. Edited July 1, 2009 by EduTech

have you changed the SATA mode in the bios? these new laptops all use AHCI mode and ghost doesn't like it!

I think this thread is probably the same issue.

 

Might have to see if I can find one and investigate. Not sure it's a model we use.

We had one odd laptop in a batch of HP550s where the ghost session just wouldn't go as it would turn off the onboard ethernet - a fix was to copy the image onto an external hard drive and then restore it back via the usb option - the network card seemed ok in windows, was a strange issue.
