Ok so I upgraded the email address policies.. only to then find that I am still unable to edit them in the EMC because the legacy server exists - Funny how all the transition guides fail to mention this. I think I now need to recreate the policies in EMS using the -RecipientFilter parameter with an OPATH string, Is anybody any to explain how to do that! Cheers,

Hi, We have an old Exchange 2003 Server with only a handful of staff on as the rest are on 2010 along with the students. The address lists and recipient policies are still sat on 2003 using the old ldap filters and the OAB is still generated on 2003. The migration was started over a year ago but as it was co existing fine we never completed the migration.... until hopefully now. Re reading the migration steps worry me so I just wanted some advice with regards moving the remaining bits from 2003. My main concern is how these changes with effect users still on 2003? Anybody used the Promethean 65" ActivPanel then? it is coming in the cheapest surprisingly. They can convert smart notebook files to there Activ Inspire software but not sure how it compares. Think a week demo unit is required! Wish I could have gone to BETT to see them all in action.

Exactly, A school down the road from us has just kitted themselves out with these and are singing their praises.. the HP Core switch alternative 5412ZL populated with all modules comes in at 17k.. 11k more than 5 cisco switches which is pretty much a new computer suite. Not sure I can justify that cost..

I am looking at replacing our HP Procurve and these popped up as an attractive option.. performance looks good and they are stackable.. yes they don't have proper IOS but via web config has all the configuration options we need.. I want some evidence theses are rubbish before I pay more for a 'better' switch. I don't like the idea they are aimed at Small Business but what are the downsides - IOS and poor support?? If i assign an IP manually it can ping the default gateway of the vlan but the switch can't ping it. Is the full silverlight version just available through the hosted option at the moment? I've just setup MLS in house and was expecting to see this new front end as pictured on the MLS site/Guides.. but we get the what appears to be an much more basic interface.. EDIT* Found a setting to change to silverlight mode!

We have been using Schoolcomms for 4 - 5 years and are looking at alternatives, Sims Intouch is way to expensive so we currently have a trial with keepkidssafe. Its web based, significantly cheaper and has a few nice features over schoolcomms. Pete

We are getting the same issue, our reverse lookup is pretty much empty. On the DHCP Server properties ours is set to "Dynamically update DNS A and PTR Records only if requested by the DHCP Client" shoud this be on "Always dynamically update DNS A and PTR Records" ?

Did you get a response from capita? We are having the same issue with modifying the students details page - Parental consent - primary contact etc all take about 30 seconds to save. Regardless of which user logs into Sims. If I logon to the PC with my account its fine regardless of the Sims account I use. Started doing some tests between our 2 accounts admin rights/redirected My Docs and homedrives but the only thing i've found to help is moving the user into a different OU in AD and replicating GPO's after a gpupdate and a profile refresh they can save in 5 seconds. Can't 100% nail down the cause of the issue so far. No idea why anything to do with user location in AD would affect Sims save times!? Pete

This can be done via the Reports / Timetables as we ran into the same issue, Change the orientation to portrait Week 2 under Week 1 from the right Modify the 'Gap below Title' to make them both appear on 1 page. And you need a special permission(I think Curricular Manager/Timetabler) to be able to view the save button which should appear next to 'Default' so you can save you design as the default view for all users.

We have purchased Toshiba Laptops for the last few years, A300 L450's and now C660's all seem to suffer from this same problem. When you want to project via FN + F5 the clone option doesn't appear.. no options appear but the default LCD.. like it can't detect the projector. Rebooting always fixes the problem. And we also discovered that if you open PowerDVD or Powerpoint and then goto project it broke.. close the programs it worked! but now even that isn't guaranteed and they have to reboot. Just wonder if anybody else has these laptops and have similar issues Happens with varying model projectors too, Cheers!

Changing your servers key to a KMS key from your license will automatically activate with MS.
