If you create an RTF Form, you can add % or a res to the Field - / We use a report like this to create our ID passes for students.

Exchange 2003 to 2010 Migration.. eventually
PRicho replied to PRicho's topic in Enterprise Software
Ok so I upgraded the email address policies.. only to then find that I am still unable to edit them in the EMC because the legacy server exists - Funny how all the transition guides fail to mention this. I think I now need to recreate the policies in EMS using the -RecipientFilter parameter with an OPATH string, Is anybody any to explain how to do that! Cheers,- 1 reply

Hi, We have an old Exchange 2003 Server with only a handful of staff on as the rest are on 2010 along with the students. The address lists and recipient policies are still sat on 2003 using the old ldap filters and the OAB is still generated on 2003. The migration was started over a year ago but as it was co existing fine we never completed the migration.... until hopefully now. Re reading the migration steps worry me so I just wanted some advice with regards moving the remaining bits from 2003. My main concern is how these changes with effect users still on 2003? Recipient Policies - we have 2 in place staff and student which are simply if the custom attritute 1 is staff / student - can these simply be converted over using the following Get-EmailAddressPolicy | where {$_.RecipientFilterType –eq “Legacy”} | Set-EmailAddressPolicy –IncludedRecipients AllRecipients Address Books need updating to the newer OPATH filters - we have staff and student address books under "All Address Lists" and "All Global" the security set on the staff ones have deny list to students (might be a better way to do this?) Set-AddressList “All Users” –IncludedRecipients MailboxUsers Set-AddressList “All Groups” –IncludedRecipients Mailgroups Set-AddressList “All Contacts” –IncludedRecipients MailContacts Set-AddressList “Public Folders” –RecipientFilter {RecipientType –eq “PublicFolder”} Set-GlobalAddressList "Default Global Address List" -RecipientFilter {(Alias -ne $null -and (ObjectClass -eq 'user' -or ObjectClass -eq 'contact' -or ObjectClass -eq 'msExchSystemMailbox' -or ObjectClass -eq 'msExchDynamicDistributionList' -or ObjectClass -eq 'group' -or ObjectClass -eq 'publicFolder'))} Any help would be much appreciated. Pete

Ahh, on the setup.aspx page its showing a X on the Services activated?? -
Hi, created a dev-hap site to test the updating to 9.7 and once you log in the page just refreshes constantly, Checking for updates is displayed at the top of the page? Server is 2012 on IIS8 - Default HAP site running happily on the same box - They are sharing the same App Pool.

Anybody used the Promethean 65" ActivPanel then? it is coming in the cheapest surprisingly. They can convert smart notebook files to there Activ Inspire software but not sure how it compares. Think a week demo unit is required! Wish I could have gone to BETT to see them all in action.

Hi We are looking to purchase 4 touchscreen 65" devices in a new block for maths, they previously had 9 year old 'Interactive Education' Boards which have seen enough action. We are looking at the follow models has anybody used them or thinking of going down the same route? The rooms have no AV at all so weighing up the difference between a projector install + interactive board V Touchscreen TV. BenQ T650 65" TouchScreen Promethean 65" ActivPanel Touch Interactive Display Clevertouch 'S Series' 65" Alphatouch 65" from vii-networks Thank you.

Exactly, A school down the road from us has just kitted themselves out with these and are singing their praises.. the HP Core switch alternative 5412ZL populated with all modules comes in at 17k.. 11k more than 5 cisco switches which is pretty much a new computer suite. Not sure I can justify that cost..

Why so Mr_Jiminy? I am looking at replacing our HP Procurve and these popped up as an attractive option.. performance looks good and they are stackable.. yes they don't have proper IOS but via web config has all the configuration options we need.. I want some evidence theses are rubbish before I pay more for a 'better' switch. I don't like the idea they are aimed at Small Business but what are the downsides - IOS and poor support?? Anybody running these in a stack of 5 that can vouch for there performance? Pete

Hi, Trying to setup a simple vlan on our HP 5308XL. I've pasted the config below. My client (G13) is unable to get a DHCP address from the helper. If i assign an IP manually it can ping the default gateway of the vlan but the switch can't ping it. I've also got a default route in for 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.60.148.1 which is our router but the internet fails to work. Appears as if the Layer 3 features are not actually working?! ; J4819A Configuration Editor; Created on release #E.11.29 hostname "Cab1" snmp-server contact "ITSupport" snmp-server location "serverroom1" module 4 type J4907A module 5 type J4820B module 7 type J4820B module 6 type J4907A module 8 type J4907A module 3 type J4907A module 2 type J4878B module 1 type J4878B interface E12 name "SAN CLI" exit interface H1 name "SAN Traffic" no lacp exit interface C6 name "SAN BUI" exit interface C13 name "SAN Traffic" exit interface D14 name "SAN Traffic" no lacp exit trunk D14,H1 Trk1 LACP ip routing snmpv3 enable snmpv3 only snmpv3 restricted-access snmpv3 user "initial" snmpv3 user "cacti" snmpv3 user "list" snmpv3 group OperatorAuth user "cacti" sec-model ver3 snmp-server community "public" Unrestricted vlan 1 name "DEFAULT_VLAN" untagged A1-A4,B1-B4,C1-C16,D1-D13,D15-D16,E1-E24,F1-F16,G1-G12,G14-G24,H2-H16,Trk1 ip address 10.60.148.29 255.255.252.0 no untagged G13 exit vlan 1648 name "Guest" untagged G13 ip address 172.16.48.1 255.255.252.0 ip helper-address 10.60.148.116 exit interface C16 monitor exit fault-finder bad-driver sensitivity high fault-finder bad-transceiver sensitivity high fault-finder bad-cable sensitivity high fault-finder too-long-cable sensitivity high fault-finder over-bandwidth sensitivity high fault-finder broadcast-storm sensitivity high fault-finder loss-of-link sensitivity high fault-finder duplex-mismatch-HDx sensitivity high fault-finder duplex-mismatch-FDx sensitivity high ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.60.148.1 spanning-tree Trk1 priority 4 password manager password operator Forgot to menton - I've setup a scope on the DHCP Server for 172.16.48.0/22 with the with the gateway set to 172.16.48.1 Any help would be much appreciated! Schoolcomms or not schoolcomms - that is the question...
PRicho replied to overworkedunderpaid's topic in Cloud Services
We have been using Schoolcomms for 4 - 5 years and are looking at alternatives, Sims Intouch is way to expensive so we currently have a trial with keepkidssafe. Its web based, significantly cheaper and has a few nice features over schoolcomms. Pete
