Hi all,

I'm having a few problems with Dreamweaver trying to locate user files. My current PC Build is with XP sp1 and Studio 8. When a user tries to select 'Save as..' in Dreamweaver it looks into the following:

\\server\year\username\application data\macromedia\dreamwaever 8\configuration\temp\flash elements\imageviewer

it should be looking into:

\\server\year\username\my documents

The other studio 8 packages like Flash and Fireworks etc work fine. I tried contacting Adobe support but had no joy, they told me that roaming profiles etc are not supported. 8O

I have just started working on a new PC Build for the summer which includes XP sp2 and the latest patches for Dreamweaver 8. This has not fixed the problem and now Dreamweaver will no start-up. All I get is the message 'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in affect on this computer....' I have made no other changes. :?

Can anyone help :?:

Michael.

Just read this too:

Does Dreamweaver 8 support network installations, roaming profiles and terminal server installations?

Dreamweaver 8 supports network installations or silent installations with the new MSI installer. Dreamweaver 8 does not support Windows roaming profiles or storing user configuration folders on network drives. Dreamweaver 8 does not support Citrix application server installations or any other kind of terminal server installation.

Bad news as we've just bought v8 :(
