Hi All,

Trying to reset a users password in FMS, however even logged in as sysman the "change password" button is greyed out

I've tried detaching and dropping logins before re-attaching however FMS still won't allow me to change the password?

What's the beef there then? :(

iirc, the password change dialogue is not a well-designed interface - check you're not mixing up the "Real Name" and "login name" fields.

I know in Birmingham schools (and mostly likely other LAs), FMS was converted to run on SQL 2005 instead of MySQL or something else (I can't remember).

If this is the case, make sure you're running the right version of FMS.

It was previously Sybase before FMSSQL.

Might sound daft but you never know....

Are you trying to change the user password for the user you are logged in as? If so you can't do that for some odd reason.
