Gatt Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) Got a weird one here - dunno if its just with me though Using FF 3.0.6 on Win7 X64 and get this issue.. Edited February 24, 2009 by Gatt forgot the attachments!
EduTech Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 They seem fine to me looking at a home point of veiw. our LEA block the Ads! so i cant support them when i am at work..
CESIL Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 The ads seem to have a transparent background so you can see the blocking message through it...
leco Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I get this as well, even on my home computer where advert blocking is not switched on. I agree about the transparent backgrounds.
sharkster Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 if u've got FF get "ad block plus" from add ons works frine for me at home and work. (subscribe to the US blacklist)
localzuk Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 if u've got FF get "ad block plus" from add ons works frine for me at home and work. (subscribe to the US blacklist) Not very supportive of the site though...
Gatt Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 I dont mind having the ads - just odd that half the ad appears to be both blocked and allowed at the same time?
leco Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Not very supportive of the site though... Sorry not me that does the blocking, but the YHGfL or the LEA.
RabbieBurns Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) The thing that says you are blocking ads is the actual frame, and the adverts sit on top of that. So when ads are blocked, you see the bsf crying frame. (a decent adblocker just removes the whole frame ) So as said before these ads are semi-transparent, and as such showing the frame below.
