SYNACK Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Difficult to say without knowing a bit about your existing setup but: Spare PSU for testing if you con't already have one. Replace any CRTs with LCDs for better power consumption and less eye strain. RAM upgrades for any that are lacking and use modern ram DDR or newer. New managed core switch (if you don't already have one) to provide better managment and monitering features for the network etc. A sutible air compresser to blow out dust from the PCs and other stuff like that to get more from your existing investments.
EduTech Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 (edited) Yes i agree give the Edugeek Sponsors a call they have been excellent to me, especially simon and joe and CPLTD Its nice when you have money to spend James. Edited February 13, 2009 by EduTech Spelling 1
rad Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Do you really need a duplex printer, unless its going to someone who will use it I find most people dont know how to set up print jobs to duplex.
DrPerceptron Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Do you really need a duplex printer, unless its going to someone who will use it I find most people dont know how to set up print jobs to duplex. That's why we force duplex as the default Took about 6 months of standing by the decision that duplexing is better before the IT staff backed down from the stupid argument that the exam board will not take it if it's double sided.... then again, an exam board did send a DVD back asking for it on VHS
Mandy Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 We can supply all of the above, we also have special pricing setup with manufacturers (HP, Dell, Smart, Lenovo, Fujitsu etc) especially for Edugeek members - so it's worth seeing what money you can save! If you PM, email or call me i will be more than happy to get a quote to you!
Little-Miss Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Make sure no one spends it on ukuleles!!! I'm not bitter!
chrbb Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 :D:D On a more serious non-ukulele note - has anyone bought any HP6730s laptops? We have a laptop trolley with 6 x hp6720s in with space for 2 more laptops, so I wondered about getting 2 x HP6730s thinking they will look similar and use the same charger/adaptor so if they get mixed up it's not a problem.
