gman Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I have received a batch of working Cisco 2950 switches. I thought this was great until in tried to use them as standard switches. The problem is that there are config files and passwords on them that I need to remove. Is there a flash or reset that does this or have I to type in ridiculous amounts of code in hyper terminal ? Cheers Gman (work is the curse of the drinking classes)
JOrdan01070 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 found this hope it helps but it looks like you have some work. Resetting Catalyst Switches to Factory Defaults - Cisco Systems 1
andyrite Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 TRy this:- Forgotten 2950 password. Have you got the cable? If not try ebay. You should be able to get one pretty cheap. 1
gman Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 Cheers Guys, great help as usual. Reset passwords and deleted config files, all seems good. One has really loud fan. Anyone replaced one of these? GMAN
