webman Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 john, of Mod's Corner, EduGeek, I hereby sentence you to lifetime imprisonment (with only a 1980s command-line UNIX shell for outside communication) for overuse of forum smilies.
Dos_Box Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 DEAL! If the economy continues down the plughole the way it is, i'll be minted on the exchange rate. Not sure about the accomodation, you might have to share rooms. Plus the women will all have to marry one of the other attendees to get visas, so form an orderly queue and start pairing off. Bow down dirty rascals and show some respect. OK that's enough! Put the smilies down and come out with your hands up!
vikpaw Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 OK that's enough! Put the smilies down and come out with your hands up! I cannot tell a lie. I confess 'twas me. I cannot write a line Without using a smiley I'm limited to eight To use more would be a sin It really makes me sick 'Cos i cant sqeeze more of 'em in! )
Domino Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Vik's obviously stuck in some sort of loop.. anyone want to go give him a hard reboot?
Joedetic Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Engineers reset...turn him off and on again.
Gatt Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 He's been reading this thread and now speaks in LISP..
vikpaw Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 @Domino - I'm fussy about who gives me a hard reboot! @Joedetic - Equally, i'm fussy about who turns me on! @Gatt - I wrote that thread! :o;)
MarkPower Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Count me in..... Will happily bring Ruckus back with me and show anyone that has missed it. As Tom mentioned there is no need to do a presentation if you have new speakers as we did one last year, but will be on hand if people want to talk.

webman Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Don't know if I'll get there this year. Although I'll be on holiday in Southport at the time, it might be awkward getting there. Do we have date yet? Have I not read the whole thread properly?

Ric_ Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I'll be on holiday in Southport at the time why?
webman Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 why? Family, cheap, available at the time Will probably be the only time I'll get away this year so took the opportunity.
Gatt Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Yeah but.... Southport  Reminds me of Largs and Saltcoats
webman Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Went to Largs a couple of years ago - not a bad place really. Was a nice walk up the coast towards the pencil monument etc and Kelburn. Give me a British town over Spain/America any day I think of it this way - all the money I save by not going to extravagant places now can be added to the New Zealand fund for several years down the line.
Gatt Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Got to admit I'd rather stay in Britain for Hols... Mrs_Gatts a caravan person.. me.. I prefer canvas
Domino Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) pfft, saving money by staying in england...? flights and a weeks music festival ticket in budapest = 200squid beer = 80p FTW Edited January 28, 2009 by Domino cause i can't spell
