To all,

I have been asked to find a Super Large Display Unit for our New School,

the Scenaro is that it is going to be mounted behind the Reception Desk in a Large open Plan 22ft High Ceiling Area, so a projector is out of the question.

Is there a company that will produce an LCD Screen of that sort of Size (widescreen Aspect Ratio)

or will i have to look for a different solution, if so any suggestions.

The Product Also Cannot be more then 9inches deap (hense the problem)

Look forward to hearing from you,

Gaz

The ceiling in our 2 halls is higher than 22ft and we have projectors fitted so it is possible.

Otherwise you can get short throw projectors on a beam fixed to a wall.

I saw a 105" Panasonnic TV in John Lewis London for £40,000, a bit cheaper than the Sharp one 108" one

I'll take mine to go thx.

You'll be lucky at John Lewis, i had to go from Nottingham to Watford just trying to get a John Lewis with the 50" Panasonnic TV in i bought at christmas as most said they would not stock anything that big in there store rooms, home delivery only. Keep away from John Lewis

The samsung magic net digital signage products can be easily combined to make a video wall.

Ben

Or if its as good as the one at my last place, a glorified box on the wall, no give my last place its due they wrote there own software for it as the magicnet wasn't that good at all, so it was a bit of a waste really, but hey ho the IT budget didn't pay for it at least :)

From what i saw of magic net its 100 times better than the garbage we were given from 3M

True I would agree with that having seen the 3M stuff in the past (in an AV specialist junk heap!) but I'd go for something more like OneLan and I think its Navaho, anyway search on here for Digital Signage and you will find some good references to look at for running the content as these systems still need the screen :)
