tonyd Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 http://www.mobotix.com/eng_GB/ Seem very intresting. They make 'smart' IP cameras, all s/w is onboard, they monitor for motion themselves, and only upload data when triggered. They can use onboard SD cards, so no need to even have a server, but just give them a share name & login info and they'll dump data as required. I like the idea that they save a lot of bandwidth since they only transfer what is needed.
darkest_star Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 darkest star you are an example to all who follow you as IP CCTV pioneers - and you make it sound so simple! Ha Ha It must be simple I managed it LOL we have spent money buying good cameras and a good server running over a proven backbone we are also using pro software which helps everything else must be sheer luck
Oops_my_bad Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Especially when there is actually so little logic to the decision reached. Welcome to the public sector. You can never waste too much money
