First off, it wouldn't be so bad if just one company stuck to it (I.e. Apple) but every product and it's product's product is named with an i stuck in front of it. It's like companies actually thing if they add that one letter, it'll make sales better. I'll tell you what triggered the last thing for me. I was watching Top Gear last night... entertaining as ever. But they did a piece on some Toyota "wheelchair" which was named... guess what... iReal. It wouldn't be so bad I guess if 99% of the devices named like this aren't rubbish. (That isn't a hit against Apple at all. powdarrmonkey Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 It's prevalent in programming, where things like FunctionNames need to be one word but easily distinguishable. Don't know if that is its origin though.
