Hi,

Can anyone recommend (free?) a Duplicate file finder that can export the results?

I have tried Easy Duplicate Finder and although it finds duplicate files, it thinks a duplicate file is any other file with the same size, so in the results it reports lots of folders containing photos etc! Also the results export file is just a list of directory paths. Eg:

D:\users\resources\Year 6\Photos 2008-09\Evacuation Day\P9290955.JPG

D:\users\resources\Year 6\Photos 2008-09\Evacuation Day\P9290956.JPG

D:\users\resources\Year 6\Photos 2008-09\Evacuation Day\P9290957.JPG

D:\users\resources\Year 6\Photos 2008-09\Evacuation Day\P9290958.JPG

D:\users\resources\Year 6\Photos 2008-09\Evacuation Day\P9290959.JPG

D:\users\resources\Year 6\Photos 2008-09\Evacuation Day\P9290960.JPG

Basically I want to give something easy to understand to the head so she can educate her staff! The LEA is demanding we pay more for our off site backup as we have reached our 200GB limit!

I saw this post: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/downloads/4212-duplicate-file-finder.html but the link given went to some adware site. Edit: can be found here: http://www.tucows.com/preview/373411

we use TreeSize Pro and it has this functionality. It can do it by name/size/date or by hash code. Obviously if you wanted just this functionality it may not be worth it but it is a great program anyway.
