Here's the other side. http://www4.ncsu.edu/~pzwong/100_1111.JPG

lol

I actually built a PC in a metal flight case once after reading an article about someone else who did the same thing. Actually worked amazingly well, and was the perfect size. Wish I'd kept it in a way, but it was only a Cyrix 6x86 120MHz with an amazing 8mb RAM! :)

Also built a PC in a plain metal box once wired to a 12v powersupply as an MP3 jukebox for my car. Connected a 3 line LCD display to the serial port on a long cable and used a special winamp plugin to output the information of the currently playing track to it. Controlled with a wireless mouse, and input into the car stereo via an FM modulator. Even had a wireless adapter in it so to upload music to it, it only had to be parked on my drive and turned on. I had far too much time on my hands in those days. That became a victim to damp, but served me well for about 2 years.

Whats sad, is that with this second picture - I know the make of the Hard Drive to the right of the PSU. Its upside down but know that PCB.... Its a a Maxtor. :nerd:

Hate to burst your geek bubble, but its a WD Caviar drive Matt, as you can see on the PCB it says WDC on it.

God darn it, I didn't see that - my geekyness rating is dropping if I have this wrong.....:D

I'll have a look at the back of a maxtor drive I have upstairs later and will have to compare them - I think you are right though, I had better step back in my closet....

Can I safely say that like me John when watching the news instead of looking at the person being interviewed you are actually trying to make out the make and model of the PC and screen in the backgorund.... Own up, I bet you do.

Yup your ratings fallen through the floor mate :D hehe, I would post a photo of the back of one I have here, but under my chaos of a desk I cannot find it, it was my first own PCs hard drive so still have it, and it still works fine, was something like 1GB in space or something like that, scary when I use a 1TB Raid Array in my PC now a days :)

As for the PCs on desks etc, yup thats me, PCs, Phones, Copiers and Printers are all me :( Have notcied the Beeb seems to have a HP Fettish :D
