kennysarmy Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Going to get SWGfL to open the necessary firewall ports and setup VPN on one of our servers. We have an 8Mb leased line. Is there a way to calculate how many concurrent users this technology can support? Sorry if this is a daft question...
SYNACK Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 It depends entirely on what the clients are using it for, if you are just using RDP (2008 version) wach user can probably get by with about 64kbit/s so long as they are not playing music across it at the same time. File transfers will of course require more bandwidth to do things at a reasonable speed but it is all down to the expected usage patterns in the end.
