HMCTech Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 It's our school open day today, and as it kindly fell on my Saturday I have to be here all day (usually school finished at quatre to 1pm). Im enjoying myself reciving emails from people who have left thigns to the very last minute. Watching all the good kit get brought out onto the lawns and such. Mini busses getting a wash down and everyone looking smart. I do like these days as a break for normality.
SteveB_NI Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Did I read that right? There is normally school on Saturday? Is it sports lessons etc, or proper classroom lessons? Scary thought that... Mon-Fri is bad enough!
HMCTech Posted October 4, 2008 Author Posted October 4, 2008 Yeh full lessons for all the school, preparatory too. Usually just 8:45 till 1pm tho.
witch Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Private School? Do they have Wed pm for 'activities' as ours here do?
HMCTech Posted October 4, 2008 Author Posted October 4, 2008 Private School? Do they have Wed pm for 'activities' as ours here do? We dont do activities as such but there is CCF on a thursday which is combined cadet force. They all get dressed up in camo, air force or navy uniforms and do things such as rifle shooting, marching and so forth. All very odd to me. Altho Sergeant Major is a good laugh.
john Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Ah the joys of that, I don't miss the Saturday working at all
richard.thomas Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 The school i worked at was open on saturdays as well. Used to always get over 100 pupils in. The school is also open on sundays but to the community.
