ozzy Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 I love this site (well done to you all that put your unpaid time and effort into it), I don't post to often but the one thing I love to read is FFS and General Chat, but thanx to my LEA I can't get to GENERAL CHAT, could "Chat" not be taken out of the forum name (or re named?). or am I just thick and missing the a reason why this would not work. just a thought, Ozzy:brave:

ozzy Posted October 2, 2008 Author Posted October 2, 2008 I'd rather not say, they would rather not have a tech employed by the school, and have one of there own for £50 per hour!!! and I know there looking for a reason to get rid since the the new head was apointed (we used to be a shool tha broke all the Rules of the LEA and the school bloody worked) Now the school is just another puppet of them!!! sorry for the rant;)
User3204 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Do you have access to the filtering rules for the school ? If so, you should be able to amend this, so that you can allow "chat". There might even be some user level filtering, so only staff can, but students can't. Is this a Primary school ?
User3204 Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Can you do HTTPS ? As there's a poll about changing to secure for Edugeek, if they do this, it bypasses the filtering.
