Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service

Hi

I am havinf troubles on our network where users keep getting "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service".

We have a windows 2003 server SP2 with few network drives. When users try and access the mapped network drives from their machines (XP SP2), they get the above message.

Even if i try and log to the server and double click on any of the drives i get that message!!!! Quite annoying and this goes on for few minutes and things are back to normal.

Have tried a server reboot which fixes the problem temporarily but then after few days this comes back again!!! Argghhhhhh!!!!

Any ideas on this????

Thanks

If you take a look in My Computer, how much disk space do you have free? And if you press ctrl+alt+del and open up Task Manager, how much memory do you have free?

More than likely you're running out of memory. It's also possible you have a memory leak (an application or driver) which is eating up your RAM. Viruses also have been known to do this too.
