Im trying to find a way to prevent students from viewing network information at the sign on screen.  The information when you click the clock at the bottom of the sign on screen is what I'm talking about.

This information is blocked AFTER sign on but I also need it blocked at the sign on screen.

I've search for the setting in Google workspace but cant find what I'm looking for.

Thanks.

I'd of thought that would be useful for troubleshooting, as if Windows does much useful in the way of troubleshooting these days i.e. useless globe, lol.

So my question also is why would you want to hide that, is it some security, curiosity and/or behavior you are trying to curtail.

We have MAC based filtering on the network.  Students are using the MAC addresses on the Chromebooks with apps on their phones to allow their phones through the filter.  MAC spoofing.  So, hiding that information would be helpful.

TBH 802.1x is a better solution otherwise it is jus security by obscurity 😉 Not saying MAC filtering does not have it's uses but if relied on to solely keep devices off a network it is a bit limited and open for easy get arounds as you have found with MAC spoofing.
