machy Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Its a continuation as well rather than a reboot/remake Am very excited 1
Cat_Jam148 Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Over the moon about this. SG1 is one of my all time favourites. The team behind it being a mix of the old production team gives me some hope. 1 1

BKGarry Posted November 24, 2025 Posted November 24, 2025 As long as they do not get mixed up and base the new series on this 2
ICTDirect_Dave Posted November 24, 2025 Posted November 24, 2025 Beyond excited for this and really intrigued as to how they'll make it an easy jumping-on point for new viewers. Humanity was pretty badass by the time they wrapped things up 1
BKGarry Posted November 24, 2025 Posted November 24, 2025 I watched an interview last night with Michael Shanks, where he revealed that a day or two before, a producer was asking to confirm an email address so that he could let them all know is advance out of respect, and that is the kind of thing I like to hear. edit: This clip 2
6Foot2 Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 Link: 'Stargate' TV Series From Martin Gero Not Moving Forward at Amazon Quote ... According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Amazon execs were concerned that Gero’s take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise’s already dedicated fanbase...
ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Yep... What is the point of paying streaming subscriptions these days? I was furious when Wheel of Time was cancelled, but not hugely shocked despite that last series being stunning. I guess this shouldn't have surprised me either. There are only so many people, and they don't tend to switch subs just for a single show. Until streamer execs go back to making prestige content and chasing awards rather than chasing the handful of people who might well switch platforms for a new show they like, then it's fairly pointless getting your hopes up for anything. What an absolute waste of talent we're seeing right now. 2
