Fusion 360 Admin Lab Installer

Hi,

 

is anyone able to provide me with the correct / working link to obtain Fusion 360 Admin Install .exe; latest update was 22/09/2025 and not updated since before summer break, and i have been stuck in a loop trying to find the correct installer! It's like AutoCAD provide all information on their education / product pages except a link to the Admin install! (Keep finding the Fusion Client Downloader .exe, which even downloads from their Admin Lab user guide link!)

Send me an email address and I'll send it to you. I sorted out our install this week. We had the same problem that you did - the document downloading the wrong version. Not sure how I found the right version - but I did.

 

Our version works great now and is deployed via PDQ Deploy. It sends the admin installer, copies a script file over for the autoupdate and sets the task scheduler to check for updates. Works well - but since I created it all - there have been no updates that I am aware of. Time will tell if the work has all been successful.

I have since found the last update email-notification (July 14th, 2025) and used the download link contained within that. It appears to be the newer version as file size is bigger than July's update etc.

 

Latest update is v.2604.1.25 – September 22, 2025 (September 2025 Product Update - What's New - Fusion Blog)

 

I too deploy via PDQ Deploy, but not the integrated auto-update bit (yet)... I just push out the full install again as and when released.

Glad I stumbled upon this thread, I always get in touch with the AutoDesk chat function and ask for the installer, then manually install it onto PCs that need it.

 

Sounds like you have both found a good way to automate the deployment, but I have never used PDQ Deploy; I assume it is not free.

 

Initially, I had hoped to deploy Fusion via Intune, but I gave up.

PDQDeploy can be free for a certain amount of deployments I think (cannot remember). However I feel it is one of the best pieces of software we pay for - well worth the money. We also have Inventory. I won't go into it here as there are plenty of threads on Edugeek about it.

@banksy I am sure you could deploy via Intune etc and even implement the auto-update schedule that @garethedmondson uses too, as that would also eliminate the need for version control (e.g. check against an .exe for current installed version number) and Supersedence etc

 

In its simplest form, the Win32 App would be:

 

New Installation

"Fusion Admin Install.exe" --globalinstall --quiet

 

Upgrade

"Fusion Admin Install.exe" --process update --quiet

We use PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory too, in addition to Intune.... although there's PDQ Connect | PDQ which will manage on-prem and Intune managed devices (no idea of cost!)

We looked at PDQConnect but it was too expensive compared to the two pieces of software. It's something i may look into again - in fact I'm going to do it now.
