I've been told that going forward we should hold KS2 fine levels up to 5 decimal places. For Y11 just gone I can get this from table checking exercise, however, I have two queries - 1) where can I get similar for other year groups? and 2) as far as I can see the SIMS aspects only hold up to 2dp does anyone know if his is going to change?

The DfE are going to measure from it to be more accurate - one student I looked at the other week shifted her P8 score by .25 by moving from 2dp to 5dp.

In some circumstances it is totally necessary as it could change the Attainment 8 estimate for a student.

Reading 2dp = 3.69

Maths 2dp = 3.21

Average 1dp = 3.5

Att 8 Est = 24.64

Reading 5dp 3.68599

Maths 5dp = 3.21231

Average 1dp = 3.4

Att 8 Est = 23.48

Att 8 Estimate difference = -1.16

I have people asking for KS2 data for our new Y7 students. Does anyone know where I can acquire it this early on in term for a secondary school?

I've downloaded files from K2S but can't see a Reading or Maths fine level column, am I missing something? I'm new in post and checking existing data in the system which I think is incorrect eg think school have been using KS2 English rather than KS2 Reading for averaging. I can get download from FFT to check but wanted another dataset if possible to double/treble check.

Thanks @tombry it's not so much the MIS needing 5dp at the moment (we use SIMS) I just want to get access to previous KS2 results so I can check against what we currently have in the system. I think that what is recorded in the system as Reading is actually English and want to double check before making wholesale changes.
