Is there anyone here who remembers Facility CMIS and how to use it? I'm in a role where CMIS was used a few years ago, data then migrated to 3Sys/PASS and now using iSAMS. To do a bit of a tidy up I want to extract a list of all the students from every academic year to see whether they exist in current iSAMS or previous 3Sys/PASS. I can see various reports set up but nothing that says export to excel/csv. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Any SSRS experts on here able to tell me why a group that has KeepTogether True is still splitting across 2 pages? Also I have a footer on the report which should display 'page x of y' it looks fine on the design and when exported to PDF but when I go to print preview and print it's gone? TIA

Thanks. This post was from last July but we did manage to resolve.

We plan to go live next September so we have a full year ahead of us to make the move. From initial iSAMS visit I think it was about 2 years before an actual decision was made to make the move. However, we signed up around June/July servers etc are all set up should be getting the install this month and have already started looking at data extracts to transfer across. I think our main issue will be getting all staff to buy into the fact they will have to play a part in the transition, checking data extracts for their areas and that it won't all be done for them by the Data Manager.

Does anyone here have experience importing timetable into WCBS PASS? The set codes created on import do not tally with the set codes exported from Timetabler and once imported cannot be edited. I thought there might be some sort of matching process but apparently not. I've used SIMS / NOVA in the past and for all it's faults this process was so much simpler! Any advice greatly appreciated.

What about using general student list, include academic option on the right hand side and use the blocks option, that way minimal columns hopefully you only have 4/5 blocks and then the subjects show against the block?

Morning, does anyone who has recently moved MIS have a decent project plan they would be happy to share? Seems like there are a few people here who have gone through this recently and rather than re-invent the wheel thought I'd ask here first. Doesn't have to be an actual MS Project file, just a word doc or picture of it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hello fellow DM's I'm after some interview advice from you all please. Not on the interview itself but on how you manage the request for leave - I know teachers are quite open about going for interviews and are allowed time off but what about support staff (realise it may be different school to school). Do you come clean and say you want time off for interview or do you say you want time off without specifying the need? I'm not unhappy where I am but the potential new post has larger salary. Any advice would be most welcome.

Yes I went my own way with the extraction and presentation just used their range of slides as a guide to what to present as a first offering. Exciting stuff would really like to go on a DAX course but quite expensive and probably overkill for what we actually need in school at the moment.

So embed, embed to Sharepoint, export to PowerPoint are all ok under the free license and not the same as "sharing" under the Pro license?

Mainly just interested to see how it works. I'm used to running SIMS photo reports and wondered if using the conversion to excel would be more flexible. Sometimes the group we want a photo report for aren't a "SIMS" group say for a school trip. I know I can filter the resulting list by manually removing from the SIMS preview screen or setting up a UDF but both are long winded so thought i might try out this utility.

Has anyone used the Student Photographs to Excel Utility successfully? I've followed the supplied instructions but am getting an error when I click on the 'Convert' button. Will post on MyAccount too but thought I might get a quicker response by asking here too.

Can anyone explain Power BI licensing, what can you do under normal license and when does a Pro license become necessary?
