SIMS KS2 aspects

Can somebody please tell me (or point me to the appropriate source) which SIMS aspects I should be using for our KS2 data and which KS2 data I need to include so that the Progress8 calculations work correctly.

 

 

I have a myriad of aspects pertaining to be "KS2" aspects and they have come from several sources.

For Year 11's, the June tables checking exercise has the KS2 data that the DfE sees for performance measures. It's far too late for any tracking, but it lets you verify what you have and update your predictions.

I'm covering for data again and I have this exact same question but I need it for year 7 for their baseline to work out targets. Basically I have been told to start from the KS2 Fine level as per David Pott's blog but my question is will that even exist for current year 7s with them changing everything, AWL etc. I have tried an export from Key to success as that is what I have done previously but I just get scores that obviously aren't them. I also have an export from FFTA but that appears to be the same sort of data. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Hi Chris,

 

Welcome to the world of pain that is the new KS2 tests. You are not missing anything, there are no KS2 Fine Levels anymore.

 

We're running CAT tests on our new Y7's - from these results we will get a "retrospective KS2 sub-level". I'll then perform some regression analysis on this to compare it to the new Scaled Scores. We'll then throw in the FFT forecasts and end up with something resembling a flightpath.

 

The bottom line is, we're making this up as we go along.
