  1. David Pott has some excellent guidance on the required KS2 aspects for accurate P8 calculations have a look here: https://davidpott.com/2016/04/01/ks2-fine-levels-and-grades/
  2. If you have the QAN code try looking on Ofqual The Register of Regulated Qualifications - Search for Qualifications a link to performance measures is at the bottom of the page once you've found the qualification. 601/1097/1 is QAN for 90credit diploma in Agriculture and assume all other 90credit diplomas will be the same. Hope that helps.
  3. That's great Seb1780 thanks for replying and pointing me in the right direction.
  4. Can anyone point me to official documentation relating to who should/shouldn't be included in % attendance figures. If a student goes off roll SIMS reports still show them in the %age attendance reports up until their date of leaving so wondered where the guidance was that states this is how they should be handled. Any info greatly appreciated.
  5. In the P8 guidance it says: "English qualifications - If a student sits both English language and English literature, the higher grade is double-weighted in the English slot. The lower grade can count in a slot in the ‘open’ element of subjects (not in the EBacc element)." My question is, can they still be double-weighted even if the student fails to gain a grade in one? If anyone has documentation which addresses this I'd appreciated being pointed in the right direction. Thanks
  6. That's great bobsmith just what I was after. Many thanks.
  7. Many thanks @petem46 - but does this apply to current Y11 I thought they would still have "real" KS2 English test results.
  8. Hi does anyone know where I can get KS2 English sub-level data from for a school I work with (but not in) - when I worked in school we used to calculate according to test results and level thresholds or download from Key2Success/FFT. Th school advise that this is not available from FFT only the reading sub-level, which I know will be the basis for P8 calcs as of next year - in the meantime I'd still like the English data - any ideas?
  9. Thanks hschram much appreciated.
  10. Is anyone happy to share this document here? I would like access to the information but as I no longer work in school have no login to the tableschecking website - unless anyone knows of a location elsewhere that's freely available?
  11. I used to work in a Secondary and we got a Pupil Premium download file from Key to Success which we imported directly into SIMS I think it was early July with an update in October. As I no longer have access I wondered whether this is still the case and whether data is there for Primary colleagues too. I seem to recall a search facility for new intake aslo. If anyone is able to confirm same still applies it would be much appreciated.
  12. Thanks again to all for replying. I've used SIMS for many years so I know that the main assessment manager module is highly customisable but here I'm referring to the new Programme of Study marksheets/grids that are already out for primary but yet to be released for Secondary (unless I've missed something!) They look to use the Emerging, Developing, Securing, Mastering "grades" against national curriculum statements but if we wanted to customise to use with a 1-9 scale I'm not sure it's doable yet. If anyone knows differently then please do tell.
  13. Thanks to you both for replying - I've seen various assessment methods proposed which all have benefits but it's how the data is recorded and reported on. All of the schools I work with use SIMS so they don't really want to purchase yet another piece of software to record in and for what SIMS costs each year you want to try and get as much out of it as possible. That said you don't want your assessment dictated by your MIS if it doesn't work for you. My main concern with the SIMS offering is that it's not customisable (yet!). I have seen methods which use the 1 - 9 scale mapped back across KS3 but as far as I'm aware it would be impossible to implement this in SIMS at this stage.
  14. Interested to know what others out there are doing with regards to assessment at KS3 and the removal of levels. Anyone care to share?
  15. I've read somewhere that if you use an aspect from assessment manager that has had colour formatting applied you can use the same in Profiles. Does anyone know if this is correct or has anyone tried this? If so a) does it work?, b) can you point me to some SIMS doc that explains in a bit more detail?
