Hi All,

I'm quite new to Bromcom reporting, and trying to re-create some of the things I had working in Sims reports.

A simplified example; I would like a report that includes:

  • Student Admission Number
  • Tutor Name
  • Tutor Staff Code
  • Tutor Email Address

I can get the Tutor Name, as it's in the Student Domain, but how do I get the rest, or is it not possible?

Thank you.

Yarp... Classes, with extensive use of the Groups subdomain that you'll find there, which contains the Staff and Student associations... be prepared for a lot of tree diving.

Hi Mitchell1981 - if you can DM me your site ID, I can see about arranging you some extra assistance via one of our services, if it's still needed?

You can also try to import the attached report definition into the MIS. Took me around 5 minutes to put together, prodigious use of the "find data item" icon within Quick reports.. cuts down on tree diving as Marci put it.

I have called it tutor details by student but it ought to give you the output you have asked for.

Just go into your AdHoc reports area, click actions - Import Report Definition

Bit of advice with the Classes domain. It is entirely correct to retrieve this data from there but you will need to add in the Group Type Description or Group Type Code column in order to include a column filter to 'just' the "Tutor Group"

Thanks John, this is almost perfect, but it's producing duplicates when there is an 'additional tutor', the name in the tutor column is the main tutor, but the email, and code are the 'additional tutor'. Is there a way to filter this out?

Thanks again!
