TraylerD Posted March 28, 2025 Posted March 28, 2025 This pushed out to me last week. Unfortunately you'll never know if the shared mailboxes have received an email until you click on it and it refreshes :(

Dos_Box Posted April 24, 2025 Posted April 24, 2025 I got a very unneeded surprise last night when Outlook decided I really (really) needed to try 'new' Outlook. This came as a surprise to me as it hadn't told me it was going to do this, and equally confusing as it merged my personal email account which I used the free Outlook that come with Windows for, with my work one. Compounded with this was that it listed my personal accounts over my work ones, so as far as I could tell, all I had was my 'free' Outlook accounts, unless I scrolled down a bit. I had two Outlook quick launch icons in my taskbar, one for each version, and it just got baffling when both appeared to display the same accounts and layout when you opened either. Thankfully, after a few mins and clicking the slider back to 'old' Outlook the situation was remedied. Anyway, my gripe is that I really want, and need, to keep my personal and work email separate, so I think I'll be having to install Thunderbird very soon. Whilst yes, having all accounts still on the same PC still has the same amount of risk from malware etc, I think it's not appropriate to have my work and personal email mixed within the same email client. Actually, this could make for a decent conversation about whether mixing personal and work email accounts in the same package is a good idea, or even allowed. Especially if a member of staff has very interesting personal life and you need to sort out their email. 2
supportman Posted April 24, 2025 Posted April 24, 2025 Loving the new folder "set colour" feature. Really nice to organize things.
Garacesh Posted April 29, 2025 Posted April 29, 2025 We see issues with new outlook once a week or so, why MS are so adamant they want everyone to switch to it without full feature parity is beyond me. Not being able to favourite shared mailbox folders has been a repeated issue. All we can do is shift them back to classic.
Andrew_C Posted April 29, 2025 Posted April 29, 2025 2029? I can hold out until then... Should be on my way out before that!

mikes Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 Yeah wow a feature that was in the original outlook for over 2 decades? 1
sraper Posted July 18, 2025 Posted July 18, 2025 As I don't want to open the new one yet have they added the ability to search across all mailboxes?
Olliedawg Posted August 13, 2025 Posted August 13, 2025 (edited) We've just migrated to the new outlook. however we're seeing this issue on quite a few staff PC's using a test staff account. Clicking outlook (new) prompts to update the app via the store. We don't block the store, however what they can/cant install is determined by AppLocker rules. All Microsoft apps are allowed by default, so I'm not sure why this isn't auto-updating? Edit : solved it with a group policy change! Edited August 13, 2025 by Olliedawg
