We're looking at a M365 solution on Teams - basically Transcribe and then Autopilot AI summary. Already we are confused as to permissions and licensing cost, not helped by MS articles being contradictory and test results not following what is on MS articles.

One of our SLT have already expressed reservations around content and data protection.. The viewpoint is will control/censure what is documented when it is written down, whereas there is a fear people are less self-controlled in a meeting forum, but then the AI tool then converts to written format. The fact we record a number of meetings as a matter of course (to allow watching by people who could not attend at the time) seems to have not caused the same concern.

I believe a lot of places use Otter.ai. Not used it myself though.

I can't speak for if it's any good here but both cybersecurity and risk and compliance have approved it for use within the company and I know it's being used reasonably frequently.

Needs to be in a Teams meeting room, or an online meeting, but I use Teams Premium and Copilot for M365 and it's been great. Manages online meetings with 60+ people with no stress.

Our company did a huge database upgrade this week (ie, entire platform down for over an hour). The work was all done remotely via Google Meet with six engineers on the call.

Google made an AI transcript of the entire event and wrote it up as a document with summary and detailing all the pertinent points. It even managed to miss out the waffle. There were a couple of inaccurate points where it didn't hear correctly, but overall I'd give it a 9/10. I was genuinely impressed. A tiny amount of editing and it will go in the postmortem notes (we do a postmortem even for successful changes)

That's really cool. Can you buy the extra licences just for the IT staff for example or is it whole tennancy?

Sorry I don't know. Apparently we have "Google Workspace Enterprise Standard" : I don't know what equivalent edu that is.
