Office 2024 LTSC Download

Evening All,

 

Has anyone had an issue downloading Office 2024 LTSC via the "setup.exe /download configfile.xml" method? It starts working, creates directories called 'Office\Data' and downloads two files (v64.cab and v65_16.0.17932.20130) and creates a version directory 16.0.17932.20130

 

It then stops and ends the download with that version directory being empty.

 

The .xml file - I have tried two ways. Adapting the one I used for 2021 and also creating a new one using the .xml file creator that Microsoft supply - but always the same issue.

 

2021 downloads fine. 365 downloads fine. Just 2024 stops.

 

I feel I am probably missing something.

Did you update to the latest setup.exe? Haven't tried 2024 yet but had issues in the past where they seem to do patches within the actual setup.exe so using an old version with new files don't always worK

Mine worked last week. I used the 2021 XML but I checked the parameters online to make sure I got their syntax right.

Download works one minute, then fails for several hours... They definitely seem to be having issues.

Initial download worked fine for me, too, but I've noticed that the in-app update fails a lot. I somewhat hopefully put it down to some CDN issue in the wake of the release.

i use config below, but it works fine for user who don't have licence to 365 app otherwise it updates from "Professional Office 2024 Preview" to 365 apps for some reason, very annoying (doesnt do that with 2021 version)
