VOIP telephone ring not loud enough

Hi All,

 

we have Yealink T31G IP phones installed.

 

In a couple of areas the phone's ring is not loud enough.

 

The supplier has been less than helpful.

 

Does anyone know of a solution i can try?

Whats the system you're using? If the phone honestly isn't loud enough (my T31 can be heard from next classroom and it's only on medium) - then perhaps softphones might help? (Software installed on laptops, easy with systems like 3CX)

Yealinks are reasonably loud, so positioning might be an issue.

 

I'm assuming you've turned the ringer volume up?

 

Or Maybe a different ringtone?

I've used an Cisco ATA with a BT Bell device before, seemed to work OK. Then just create a ring group containing the phone and the ATA.

 

Had to use a RJ11 to BT adapter, which needed the wires swapping over for some reason.

You know the ringer on most phones can be turned up by using the volume and and down keys whilist the handset is on. I've never know one to be too quiet.

 

I'd have a look at the Algo products, you will need to configure a ring group and add it in depending how your system is setup. Same idea as an ATA and bell ringer.

Or if you really wanted, rather than plug a bell in plug a phone in that is loud!

the volume has been turned up to full. tried different tones.

 

i agree, my phone is more than loud enough. But the Kitchen and the Nursery say not. so, i have been tasked with finding a solution.

 

I will send the powers that be a link to the VOIP ringers.

If your IP phones are similar to the IP phones we have, there separate volumes, from ringing, and listening. Try using the volume control while the phone is ringing, (before you answer the phone).

The little sensor pad sticks to the phone's speaker on the base, and when the phone rings, the transmitter part also rings. The kitchen office is a room at the back of the main kitchen area, and we ran the cable to the detector through the wall so that the transmitter blasts out on the other side of the wall. We've had no complaints since.

Same here, kitchen couldn't hear the phone, especially during service.
