our Entry panel down at the drive gates has suddenly stopped responding to fobs you can put #code in and it recognizes it and opens (assuming access)

its like the fob isn't there - no beeps or anything - our pedestrian gates did this about 2 months ago, we have had them off for a week after a flood caused tripping of the power now the pedestrian gate is responding to fobs but the car gate not... When the ped gate broke I just though we will need a new entry panel but now I’m unsure as its working again but the other one not. the ones on the inside of the drive and pedestrian gate both work with fobs... Net2 is setup to accept fobs on reader 1 and reader 2 (token, pin or code) and all the Entry panels are set the same way in Entry configuration utility…

Given that the Entry panels are around 600+ each I don't just want to arbitrary replace it... https://www.paxton-access.com/products/entry-vr-panel-surface-mount-with-rain-hood/

Anyone seen anything like this before? I don’t even see any settings about turning fob or code access on or off in the Entry config utility… and Net2 config is fine…

Hi there, we have found that the entry panels occasionally do this if there has been power issues. We resolve it by either unplugging the ethernet cable at the switch or on the back of the entry panel (you will need a Torx screwdriver to undo the unit but it is a simple ethernet port at the back) It has worked for us every time as it forces the net2 server to reacknowledge the panel. Alternatively if you have access to the config utility or the net2 software you can choose the panel and click to reinstate. Normally however it is a case of unplugging and re-plugging it in and then the reader comes back to life.

I hope it all works for you.

if the paxton readers are detecting a card with the beep sound then you just need to push the config back to them, had to do this with some on our plus controllers otherwise try the long reboot methord above
