Hi All,

Currently looking into a way to backup all our network switches, we use FS switches (which i hate) which may limit the choices as they are all re-badged switches from other OEMS,

What do you guys use or do?

What do the switches support and go from there.

As @FN-GM suggests a encrypted connection.

I've had mixed success with WinSCP and PowerShell but a linux based box might be better anyway :-)

Powershell 7 can do ssh (and thus scp) natively

I've not tried it for automation, mind.

Our network management tool does the switch backup for us, but is closely tied to the switch manufacture/os platform and is ancient (but still patched).
