sarahstacey Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Hi, I hope you are having a good start to the term! I am looking for recommendations for room/resource booking software. We were using Google Calendar with appointment slots but that's been withdrawn. The replacement doesn't seem to do what we would like. I've looked at the TES one but it seems a lot of money for 2 rooms and 4 resources. Thanks for any help. Sarah
Tester2000 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 The Room Booking System from School Cloud has been very useful in our trust. We've had it in one form or another now for probably close to 7 years. It can integrate with some MIS systems if you like (not all are supported however) to provide an easy to read overview of room bookings and can be used for resource bookings too. Simply in the staff time saving of maintaining a resource spreadsheet, it pays for itself in our secondary schools. 2
icechris Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 We use https://www.classroombookings.com/ for our primary school. Not had any problems with it but we just use it to book out computing trolleys not anything more than that. It's very cost effective though as you can self-host for free or pay £149 for a cloud version. 2
webman Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Thanks @icechris for mentioning classroombookings - author here! I'm happy to answer any questions about it or provide basic self-hosting assistance on here to fellow EduGeek users Craig. 1
Mike8080 Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Another vote for https://www.classroombookings.com/ We've been using it for a few years now using the cloud version and are very happy with it. Very easy to set up. We manually add the timetabled lessons onto it but that doesn't take very long since you can select multiple lessons at a go and block book them that way. Two week timetables are supported, so once you have defined your year then bookings will be correct for the year. 2
AndrewPowell Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Does classroombookings sync with MIS for timetables etc? Our main concern atm is IT suites. I've been looking at https://www.schoolbooking.com/ but its not the cheapest
webman Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 @AndrewPowell, No; at the moment, classroombookings doesn't have any MIS integration.

I've been looking at https://www.schoolbooking.com/ but its not the cheapest It took two of us about half an hour to input the 2 week timetable for 7 rooms. We ask the person in charge of the timetable to let us know of any changes. 1
