We currently access Corero Resource32000 via Terminal Servers. These terminal servers are now and of life.

Running the client locally on each PC by copying the IQ folder and ODBC connections seemed the obvious solution to lose these servers.

This worked fine on our test, but once we opened it up to all users it seems to be suffering performance issues and slowing right down for everyone, even though it’s the same amount of users but just connecting a different way.

The server has plenty of free resource it just doesn’t seem to play well over the wan with the client with a lot of users.

Does anyone have any experience of this and can suggest some things to check?

How many copies of IQ are running at the same time as it is ancient and not multicore friendly, we found each instance used 25+% of the cpu when we used to have resource

I would strongly suggest you speak to the finance team about moving to a proper cloud based system

Yes, that would make life so much easier if we did!
