3CX - Lockdown Alert?

Does anyone have 3CX setup with some sort of Alert system for a Lockdown for example?

 

I have seen various tools online such as

 

- VOIP Tools : 3CX Emergency Notifier – VoIPTools

- Bell Commander : BellCommander School Bell System and Notification Software (acrovista.com)

 

Just wondering what you all use?

 

I've tried a trial version of Bell Commander & tested with a small group of phones, however I can't figure out how to get the phones to automatically answer when Bell Commander calls when an alert is triggered.

 

At the moment we have an ancient analog bell system, which has to be manually activated from the heads office.. not ideal.

You would need to look at paging, which doesn't need answering. Though I seem to recall that it isn't great over multiple subnets, so it may depend on your network design how effective it is.

All of our phones are on the same subnet if thats what you mean.. thanks i'll look into the paging function

I did some testing & got Bell Commander working via a Page group within 3CX. I would recommend taking a look its pretty easy to get setup

We have just moved to 3CX and are looking for something like this so creating emergency alerts to the phones in case of Lockdown, @Olliedawg would you be able to provide us with the guide as well and let us know if you feel this works ok.

We have a call flow script so when the lockdown extension is called it plays a mp3 file on the lockdown extension which is a fanvil pa3 unit plugged into our analogue pa system as an input and also pages handsets in offices works well.  you have to dial the extension again to stop the alert from playing.  The fanvil also acts as PA announcement via a different number so allows 6th form for example not needing to go to main office to do announcements.  

 

The lockdown can then be triggered from any extension if required.

We also did this with the PA3 in a paging group. I have now installed a full Audiebant PA and lockdown solution so it has been made redundant. Also moving from 3CX to YeaStar over the summer and that has a similar feature built in. Anyone after a PA3 and some 100 volt line amps let me know
