PC Classroom Usage

Hi all,

 

Hope you are well.

 

We are looking at the school PC usage and whether they need all the PCs that they have. Does anyone know of any software or script that can Identify when a PC is being used and often in a day/week and feed back the information?

Not as detailed as you appear to need, but we have scripts that save logon/logoff events to a csv. Doesn't seem to be 100% accurate, but gives a very good idea. If you don't get something better, I can post.

Active directory keeps a list of last logged on, so this could help. Otherwise Something like Action1 might have what you need. A1 is free for 100 devices.

I think Impero did something like this, also would office metrics (if setup) do anything like you want? (things I've heard, not done)

SCCM has software metering that when turned on can report on PCs that haven't run certain programs.

Netsupport seems to do a great job for us. It includes an energy monitor which allows us to check session times.
