benward1 Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Do you hide the system tray/notification area in Windows 10/11 for your student profiles? We have a highly restricted environment for students but I question the benefit of hiding the system tray. Apart from Spohos, there are no sensitive icons that they shouldn't have access to. Volume/battery etc would be useful to view at a glance so considering enabling it again.
Guest Guest Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 We don’t hide the system tray but do hide the network icon after laptops “stopped working” mid lesson
Olliedawg Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Used to, but don't anymore. I find it beneficial to have. I wouldn't worry about Sophos being visible. Nothing can be done without the tamper protection password if its the antivirus you are talking about
Davit2005 Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 I would not hide, I'd restrict what the users could do with them.
