Do you hide the system tray/notification area in Windows 10/11 for your student profiles?

We have a highly restricted environment for students but I question the benefit of hiding the system tray. Apart from Spohos, there are no sensitive icons that they shouldn't have access to. Volume/battery etc would be useful to view at a glance so considering enabling it again.

We don’t hide the system tray but do hide the network icon after laptops “stopped working” mid lesson

Used to, but don't anymore. I find it beneficial to have. I wouldn't worry about Sophos being visible. Nothing can be done without the tamper protection password if its the antivirus you are talking about
