Hello

We have recently gone 1:1 devices and pupils will be taking them home shortly.

We have a few that don't have access to wifi at home.

Just wondering how others have gone about solving that. Have you provided dongles? Had a company talk about wifi-meshing with large companies that don't use their allowance but I think that will be lengthy to setup.

Thanks

We've still got some of the mobile hotspots the DfE provided during lockdown that we've recommissioned for if students (or staff) need them.

Thinking out loud here but there are some social tariffs that are for those on certain benefits domestically. I wonder if it’s possible to have the household sign up for that - even if school pay.

Look at the LGFL mobile, just for data it's quite cheep, if the school are paying for it they charge 12 months in advance, so no messing around with monthly bills.

Ethernet cable

All the way back to school? What if the student lives 5 miles away and there are roads, rivers and wild horses between home and school?
