Smoothwall Consulation

I have a Smoothwall S8 on one of my sites and it is not set up as I would like it, the academy is having a second broadband connection installed in the near future and I am looking to use this as an opportunity to get a Smoothwall expert in to do some reconfiguration. Does anyone know of a good place to find this expertise?

I'd call Smoothwall, their engineers are going to know the products the best (AFAIK they don't do third party installer/engineer partnerships), and if the school is in contract there's a chance they'd do this at no additional charge.

Smoothwall themselves seem the obvious choice to me. Sorry if you've already tried arranging something with them.

Talk to your account manager and get a session arranged for adding an extra connection and a health check. We are quite busy at the moment so lead time is high currently but it's certainly something you can ask for.

You def want to contact Smoothwall, I am sure they will help.

 

It might also be worth describing what you are wanting to do. For example adding a second internet connection to a S8 is fairly straight forward once you have done it once.

 

The first thing Smoothwall will need is a scope of work, so its worth getting that together ahead of time anyway.

If it helps, I'm sure I could spare some time and take a look with you. We've had to set this up about 5 Smoothies this year, most now have dual connections setup.
