Firstly, congratulations!

You'll want to register the warranty to ensure you get the full 5 years (RE, RM, RP 65" and larger) - Warranty Extension IFP | BenQ UK

In the unlikely event of your product being faulty, please contact our customer care team - BenQ Customer Support

Our interactive displays can be used as large monitors, interactive displays or wireless casting screens, there really is no "correct" way to use them.

We also offer a host of complimentary benefits that you may find useful:

  • DMS - Device Management System (this has recently had a big upgrade at no cost) - LINK
  • AMS - Account Management Service - LINK
  • Broadcast - Messaging service - LINK

Now all these cloud services do require internet connectivity, all the panels come with built in LAN ports or alternatively there is a wireless dongle that is available as an optional accessory for the RE03, RM03 screens; however it is included as standard with the RP03 screens.

On our latest screens there is also EZWrite 6, a huge step forward from us with the built in whiteboard software. It is also available at no extra cost for PC & Mac - LINK

I fully appreciate that that is probably a lot to take in, which is why we have launched the BenQ Academy - BenQ Academy

Users can log in to their account (once set up) and they can track their progress through the various videos hosted here. We are CPD certified and are well on our way to getting the BenQ Academy certified as well.

Should you have any questions or would like to arrange so training sessions for you or your staff please drop me a message. I'll do what I can to help.

Morning TechMonkey,

It depends on the model of screen you need the remote for. If it is any of the RE03, RM03, RP03 then it can be purchased via your normal purchasing route. Older screens, please check with me and I'll let you know.

We’ve just had a load of Benq screens installed and despite a successful trial we’re battling a couple of issues.

1. We’ve connected the boards to our AV vlan so we can manage them with DMS. Unfortunately when client devices connect to the boards via usb for interactive control, an additional unwanted Ethernet tunnel pass through connection is made resulting in client devices getting an IP address on the AV vlan and chaos ensues due to different filtering and firewall rules in place. Benq say this behaviour can’t be changed and we’ve therefore had to disconnect the boards from the network and lose the DMS functionality.

2. Something has changed in the latest firmware update making the onscreen pen tool much thicker. Teachers now hate it for annotating and are complaining. No helpful response from Benq support on this so far.

Hi gybe78,

Sorry to hear you have had some issues. Can you drop me a DM with site name, models you have and current firmware version and I'll assist where I can.

Bit of an Old thread but was wondering if anyone has had any experience with setting up DMS or X-Sign Broadcast on a C2K network?

Essentially just seeing is it worth looking into setting up if it works.

I ended up setting this up yesterday mainly just for the broadcasting to the board and have to say it was extremely straight forward and took about 10 mins to do. Works well.

Hi @MarkRobbz apologies I didn't get back to you yesterday, I'm glad you found it straight forward to set up. Our panels are certified for use on the C2K network which will have helped. If you'd like to know or if I can be of any assistance drop me a DM, either remote or in person as I'm based in Northern Ireland.

Hi @HyperTech apologies I didn't get back to you yesterday, our device management system (DMS) comes at no extra cost once you have our panels. If you want to DM your details I can help get you set up.

Hi Chris, thanks for your response. I have actually been busy this morning setting up, and it's great!

One thing though... When trying to add some of the screens into DMS through my desktop DMS Cloud (?) they fail to enrol. I get an error message 'Not Register'. Any ideas why this might be? 80% of them enrolled fine first time.

@HyperTech

If you can DM me the model, serial number, version of FW and version of DMS installed; I'll take a look. It could be that something went asked in the binding process and they are stuck, so I may have to manually unbind in the backend.

Hi Chris,

I think it may just be that they need an update... I will test this afternoon and let you know :)

Thanks!

Everything is going well, but I have a question about the sleep/wake settings on the DMS. Is there a way to keep the devices in standby mode so they can be automatically turned on and off? I can't get them to wake on LAN in the mornings unless manually turned on at the front. They seem to go offline after a while and then can't be controlled.

I'd like the boards to turn on and off daily for emergency broadcasts if needed.

Thanks!

Hi @MarkRobbz there are some manual settings on the board where you can set power saving, there is a standby timer, power save mode and shut down timer, these can be found in the "device" tab in settings menu and "display". You also have an option in the "system" tab under "start up behaviour" to set screen to standby on boot up. If you disable the power off timer, so the screen only ever shuts the backlight off and doesn't do a full shut down, Broadcast should wake the screen. Anything else let me know.
