Hi all,

We Sophos here and we're very happy with it and the other sophos products we're also using. The only thing i feel that could be better is user level reporting. We're looking at 3rd party reporting solution that works well with the XG/S Sophos Firewalls.

What you guys using? I was looking at impreo and fastvue. Would like prefer something that is cloud based, supporting Google SSO would be a +.

Cheers all

It's a local install. You can sign up for a free trial to give it a go. Fastvue's support I have found to be very good, responding quickly etc.

Hoping that Sophos will launch a cloud-based filtering solution (soon) that will work with on-site Sophos XG/S rules & Sophos AV; more than just the generic category web-filtering currently provided by Sophos AV Central.

Anybody using Smoothwall Monitor with a Sophos XG?

Is monitor independent of the firewall you use or is a SMoothwall Firewall a prerequisite?

They’re completely independent of each other, you install an agent on each device which need’s monitoring and access the logs via a web console

Thanks for the reply, do you know if it supports Chrome OS also independently? As in we don't need a Smoothwall device for Chromebook user authentication? Can't seem to see anything on their site about that.

Smoothwall Monitor is an application that will monitor a user's device against websites visited, keywords typed, etc and report any suspicious activity to your designated staff. This can include things like self-harm, racism, terrorism, etc. It is not a firewall or any sort of network security or filtering.

Yeah, it does - no need for a device at all. Monitor supports Win, Mac, Chrome, and iPads
