Dos_Box Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) Tisi week see's everyone finally back to work after the summer holidays. I know today is an inset day for most and tomorrow/Wednesday is the new year induction, but we hope you all got your summer jobs complete and are ready to face the hordes once more. Extra HobNobs and sympathy for those with more than 20 passwords to reset this week! Edited September 4, 2023 by Dos_Box 3
supportman Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Great but sad to see the same old forum software still here for yet another year At least SSL seems to work now though

Olliedawg Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Y7's in today at my school - work set on teams for all other years as on a staggered start. Bombarded with password resets this morning, must have done at least 15 different students.. and a few staff. Other than that, smooth sailing
Rob_D Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Kids back tomorrow for us. Not many forgotten passwords yet, but plenty of last minute starters, email group changes, and "oh you're in that office now".Looking forward to seeing how the students take to their new ID badges.
Brax Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Lots of new starters and with the large amount of technology changes made over the summer our workload is astronomical and stuff is falling through the cracks. Keeping my head down and getting on with what I can. We don't have all students back until tomorrow either.
chris11256 Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Usual first day back printing chaos(despite the fact that we had two inset days last week where they could've printed resources) where most teachers have left their bulk printing until today. They then complain that everyone else is doing the same. Not help by one of our copiers having been out of action since June. All good so far on the student front, just the usual couple who struggle to setup their Android phone to connect to the BYOD wifi. Rest of the students come back tomorrow when teaching starts properly.
3s-gtech Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) Mixed day. Some staggering lack of preparation, despite CPD day last week, but some things went well. Tomorrow is year 12 induction and that’s always busy. Someone managed to break our new copier, and I touched it last when the part fell off. New one for the engineer, hadn’t seen that snap off before! Edited September 4, 2023 by 3s-gtech
Rob_D Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Looking forward to seeing how the students take to their new ID badges. Why do the older students insist on carrying their lanyard/Id badges instead of wearing them? Is this some form of low-key protest?
