Dos_Box Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 (edited) For those of you currently at work and watching the clock, do you have anything planned for this weekend? I've just spent over an hour on the M6 coming back from Warrignton to Preston, stuck in the holiday traffic. Anyway, I'm home now and on Sunday, we're off to watch this (the European Tractor Pulling Championship), which, handily, is about 20 mins away Mustn't forget to take ear defenders! HarryMonkey Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Nothing planned for the weekend but we do have tickets for Peter Kay at the O2 on Wednesday so we're stopping over and making a trip of it. 2
Davit2005 Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 More Half marathon training but start long runs around 6-7am so plenty of time afterwards to relax, fall asleep and do nothing I'd wanted/needed/planned to get done :-)
Norphy Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 One of the good things about working from home for a company based in England when you live in Scotland is that you get the English bank holidays during May and August, which are different to the bank holidays in Scotland. This means my son will be at school while my partner and I are off work. It means we get a rare day together 3

3s-gtech Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Wrote off going karting today due to the bad weather forecast. Weather was glorious. Bit of work in the workshop, then my first proper track session for 3 months, which went okay. Extended rest and recovery otherwise over the next few days!
mdrabble Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Helped 2 brass bands at the same event today, one playing euphonium and the other B flat bass - (4 x 45 slots with only a 15 min break whilst the bands swapped over after each 45 slot) - enjoyed it but was I tired afterwards. Friends birthday BBQ tomorrow. Monday Need to cut down dead conifer tree and take them to the tip and then possibly cleaning house and cars
