I’m on bin bag number 20 I think dumped since clear out began…. Bin bags full of CDs from the days of having to have a disk per license lol.

I’m actually a bit worried now that my clear room may give people ideas when they realise the actual size of it!

Don't! I had a flashback of a cupboard shelf with 150 Win 98se and about 100 Win 95 CD's on there. Windows 2000 and 'proper' licencing was a relief!

I do recall my predecessor had also kept a huge amount of RM manuals (all identical) too. I had a big clear out of the office in my first summer at that school.

What about the "official Microsoft CD wallets" that I remember everyone having when I first started out?

Spent today clearing stuff out of our storeroom, bins full of old cables...I don't see the need to keep more than enough to replace a full suite. I keep finding things though that have sat in our storeroom for 10 years, all being chucked out this summer. Mainly though, the building where our IT Office & Storeroom is located has been condemned and is due for demolition in the next 12 months. Wherever the school moves us to, we aren't going to get even half the space we've got now.

Ive just spent the last month replacing VGA cables for HDMI or DVI at the company I work at.

Now there is talk of getting all in one docking stations with just USB C to USB C.

So in 6 months time I'll be removing those cables!

Once the docking stations come in then we will be getting rid of all those cables!!

Today I uncovered a secret stash of brand new, unopened Console Cables - Serial to RJ45.

Whatever doomsday scenario someone was planning for I hope it never comes.... we also had like 5 extra cables for each switch :p
