HereIGoAgain2601 Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Hi, I’ve setup a chromebox into Kiosk mode, published a slide to the web and used the URL to auto load on the chrome device. If I use the URL in a normal PC browser it works - but the chromebox is saying I need to logon. Any ideas why it’s doing this or how to turn it off so it just loads?!
Sanchez Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 We use Chrome sign builder to run our Chromebox signage. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chrome-sign-builder/odjaaghiehpobimgdjjfofmablbaleem Easy to deploy as a kiosk app that shows a slides presentation.
David44 Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 The Slides either needs to be shared with "Anyone with the link" or if you are publishing to the web, you need to untick "Restrict Access to the following (your school)" on the publishing window. You will need to do the former even if you are using Chrome Sign Builder, which only works for Google Admins BTW.
HereIGoAgain2601 Posted July 12, 2023 Author Posted July 12, 2023 Thanks for the suggestion - the Chrome Sign Builder won't run on my devices... says it's no longer supported! And the problem still persists when unticking the 'restrict access'... my quick digital signage solution is turning into a pain!
