chazzy2501 Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 So the Java 8 I have on a server (for Unifi) says that on Java.com version 8 is the latest version?!? Ubiquity is telling me to use version 11 of Java (and not 12) the Oracle website has version 11..... What don't I know about Java?!??!

LeMarchand Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 IIRC they started to charge for Java at one stage. (I think you may have even been supposed to remove existing installations). A little while back they realised no-one was using it and relaxed the rules - to very specific versions, I seem to recall. Might be worth saving a load of reading and seeing if Amazon Corretto will work for you: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/corretto/latest/corretto-11-ug/downloads-list.html (Other versions available).
