What students see on student phones is out of our control

Agreed. I did stress this to SLT and they seemed to be understanding & appreciated my help with tracking the device.

At the end of the day no real harm was done & i'm sure the student got a real bollocking from the head of year :D

So you wouldn't help if SLT were asking about someone broadcasting an SSID along the lines of "KillAll:censored:s" or "BurnAllEVdriversAtTheStake"?

Use your APs to find the general area, then break out the wifi scanner app and track the via signal strength

Done this once got it down to about 5 pupils who had an intresting chat with the deputy head....

Surely they just burn in their cars that explode so often it's a surprisingly new story that gets in the news

But it's not my problem if someone across the street has a stupid SSID that appears on student phones, but that I can stop appearing on work devices. If they don't want students seeing such things, they can ban phones
