Morning all,

Somehow, obtaining a quote for electric car charging has fallen on my lap. I've contacted a company called Podpoint looks ok but they don't appear to want to respond to any message. Does anyone have a recommendation for another company I can contact, please?

Thanks

I got quotes recently from BP Pulse (we already have one of their chargers) and Pod Point for chargers, they responded quite quickly - just need to persuade management to pay for them now!

The two you mention are the regularly mentioned ones on the EV groups i'm in on facebook.

I've also heard of EVBox which appears on google when you search for business EV charging.

It's not something we've got round to at work yet but there's more and more of us with EVs so I guess we'll look at it at some point.

We had Pod Points at the office but cannot talk of any experience.

I would be looking at a myenergi Zappi plus they are made on my door step!!

Speak to local electricians, myenergi do have an installers map see who is around you. Artisan are based in Cambridge area, my all accounts they are expensive so find a local spark and have a chat with them.

We (Sixth Form College) have five of the Project EV chargers for staff to use and use their back office software to manage it.

They get a bill emailed to them on the 15th of the month with the previous months usage - essentially there free usage thru the month so we don’t pay the admin/back office transaction costs. We just send them the usage for the last 30 days for them to pay.

It’s locked off to general public / anyone we haven’t pre-auth’d

They come up

Open their phone and scan the barcode on the charger

Connect their car

Press charge on the app

We have 15 staff that share the chargers and it works an absolute dream. They were installed by local electricians then managed by the IT Team

At work we have Rolec chargers and access is controlled via evcharge.online

Don't get Rolec chargers.

Not sure whether there's an issue with integration with the website, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It's not unusual for the status (charging, available, offline) to bear no relation to what the website says.

Having said that, other than two weeks where they were officially out of service I've done all of my charging to get to and from work since June.

Rolec chargers are known to have issues in their early ones, they have brought out a new model which was quite a change so that one might be problem free.

Quite a few offer back office systems to manage in house with fobs or NFC type applications, depends what your needs are.
